The Problem
Work-from-home has a whole new meaning in a post pandemic working world. With new technology and programming, there was a change for “in-office” demand. A straight result of this has been an increase in remote or hybrid positions, and for a lot of new working adults this has created many new opportunities. There is more flexibility to travel, move, and expand their work experience to companies and organizations they may have never even considered looking into. Similarly, with students, there was such a shift in terms of attendance, in-person lessons or lectures, and programs to work with. The question of “can we have class outside?” on a warm Spring day suddenly became much more attainable as long as you had your device. Benefits from this are comparable to those from WOH jobs, however so are the disadvantages.
Technology like computers and other smart devices are core components to most work and school lifestyles today, and all these devices need to be charged. Limitations follow this giving people pressure to always be indoors or next to an outlet. Sure, there are other locations that could be visited like coffee shops or libraries but the limited access to outlets and the influence from this still creates the same issues.
With Chrg, we make working more accessble by providing you with a reliable and easily portable power source when there is no outlet in sight. Allowing you even more freedom to take your work wherever you want to go. Whether that is a packed cafe or out on campus sitting in the grass.
Why limit yourself when you could
stay chrgd?
The Solution
A portable charging device that helps people stay mobile without limitation, giving them the freedom to work wherever they choose. Able to fully power any device from an iPhone to a laptop.
Along with designing the main product, I created brand assets to follow the same themes of the brand: portability and easy accessibility. The following images below show smart watch bands with two different watch faces, a laptop sleeve, and a USB flash drive.
